There are plenty of activities that you can do on your holidays in Gran Canaria. Some of these are biking, hiking, swimming, surfing, golfing, scuba diving, and many more.
First, the Gran Canaria is considered the paradise of bikers. This is because there are plenty of trails you can follow if you want to go mountain biking. These trails can vary depending on if you are a starter or already a professional. For people who just want to go biking for fun, there are already service centers that can rent bikes for you for several hours. The rental fee will depend on the class of the bike to be borrowed and the length you will be using it.

Secondly, you can also go hiking to the mountainous part of the island while enjoying the perfect climate in Gran Canaria. There are several magnificent cave villages, lakes, and mountain scenery that you will surely enjoy. While on the trekking adventure, you will also be astounded by the wonderful varieties of flora and fauna. Even if you are not a botanist or an earth-lover, you will certainly be moved by the magnificent environmental features that the island can offer. Furthermore, if you can reach the uppermost part of the island, you will enjoy the panoramic view up there. This is a very rare experience that you cannot enjoy somewhere else.
Thirdly, the Gran Canaria beaches will give you a unique surfing, swimming, and other water adventures experience. It has a superior variety of beaches from the “Playa de Ingles,” which is the longest beach on the island; and the Maspalomas, which stretches up to four (4) kilometers. Other beaches you can visit are the Amadores, the Playa de Mogan, and Puerto Rico.

The fourth pride of the island is the spectacular golfing experience you can get there. The island is actually where you can find the oldest golf club in Spain. They even developed eight (8) new courses for the golfers and enthusiasts to have a better enjoyment. These courses are usually located in the southern part of the island.
If your trip is more of nature tripping and adventure, you must not forget to go scuba diving in the southern part of the Gran Canaria. At that part of the island, you can actually see a lot of superior diving locations and centers. Scuba guides and centers also offer hotel pickups, equipment rentals, and other services for you to not worry anymore about the nitty-gritty of it.

Aside from these, other must-see attractions on the island are the Las Dunas de Maspalomas as well as the Palmitos Park, where you can find several kinds of exotic and interesting plantations and different animals.
