Alicante offers plenty of diverse places for partying and having a good time during hot summer nights. Most of Alicante’s gay bars are located in El Barrio – the Old Town of Alicante. It is a large pedestrian zone with thousands of young people having fun on the streets and enjoying Alicante nightlife.

There are clubs with good music for all tastes. You should normally go downtown after midnight. The best time is between 01:00 and 03:00 in the morning.

Once the bars in El Barrio are closed (between 03:30 and 04:00), young people continue partying in numerous Alicante discos. One of them is the usual choice of gays and lesbians, situated close to the Explanada promenade. There you can dance, drink and have fun until sunrise.
